Some of my personal favorites of 2009 are the following.

A totally novel experience for most of us viewers out there has to be The Planet of Pandora, as the 3D technology used in this movie is so mesmerizing that it actually makes one feel as if they are on another planet.

The movies mentioned earlier are outclass, however I have left the best and the most favorite one of mine for the end; District 9.

This movie reached far beyond any expectation that I had had. Director Neil Blompkamp and debutant Sharlto Copley did a remarkable job as well. It was made in a budget of 20 million, however the action was actually good and only Avatar could beat it. This still makes it quite better than the other movies made in Hollywood throughout the year, with boring sequences of action.

District 9 kept me glued to the seat as I could not guess about what would happen in the end. It has actually become difficult for me to explain the good job this movie has done. Being a fan of suspense movies or science/fiction, it is an obligation for you to go ahead and watch this movie.

Even though these two movies are in the list, my ultimate choice is to the movie District 9, this is my favorite movie this year 2009.

After that, most of the film critics are interested in the great adventurous film District9 released this year 2009.

When I tried to go to this movie, I have no ideas and expectations because this film is designed by Neil Blompkamp and the start cast of this film is debuted. After seeing this movie, my expectations are blown away. The production costs of the film is somewhere around twenty million, but the action sequences in this film are absolutely trumped by avatar.
